God is love; it is impossible to dispute this fact. He knows all of the words that we will say before they come out of our mouths. He knows when we are about to use his name in vain, when we are about to say something disrespectful and derogatory about him. Yet he will let us speak these words to whom we please.

God knows all of our thoughts as we think them. He knows when we are thinking about doing something wrong. He knows when we are thinking of hurting others, when we are planning to do something we lust for that we know God does not want us to do. Yet he lets us complete our thoughts, make our plans, and proceed on with our selfish lives.

If we hated someone and had all of the power imaginable, and we were able to read their minds and discovered that they were planning to do something that we specifically told them not to do, wouldn't we zap them somehow, right then?

If we just tolerated someone and had all of the power imaginable, and we were able to read their minds and discovered that they were planning to do something that we specifically told them not to do, wouldn't we zap them somehow, right then?

Yet if we loved someone and had all of the power imaginable, and we were able to read their minds and discovered that they were planning to do something that we specifically told them not to do, wouldn't allow them to do it and work with them in some gentle and kind way so we could change their behavior if they would only choose to make the change?
